The Green Schools Committee are always hard at work ensuring Scoil Aonghusa Senior is doing its best to reduce, reuse and recycle! We run regular competitions to encourage our school to be more mindful of the environment. We monitor the waste and award a 'Golden Bin' to the class who has the best Green Bin! We use compost bins to help the environment too.
We are currently working towards our Water Flag. We have been careful to check for leaks and dripping taps over the past two years. We use basins in our classrooms to catch water, this is a great help to us during Art and times when we are planting seeds. We also have a water butt which we use to water our plants. During the Autumn months the Green School Committee along with Ms. Cunningham planted spring bulbs. We hope to keep our garden and outdoor area looking clean and green!
