The Junior Coding Club joined the Senior Coding Club in the Hub on Friday morning. Everyone had a few options to choose from, including Scratch, ScratchJR and the Hour of Code tutorials using the iPads and Chromebooks.
It was clear that the 5th class students were learning a lot in the Citywise workshops they have been doing recently as they were eager to invent their own games such as 'Flappy Fish', inspired by Flappy Bird.
There were lots of other creative ideas from 3rd to 6th class pupils such as bears walking on walls, a ping-pong game, colour co-ordinated interior designing and flying humans.
We also had a retro gaming station. This weeks' options were Jenga, Chairs and a building blocks game called Build Up. There was a lot of collaboration and even more chatting!
